Tiger Docks Fills a Semi Truck with Bikes & Toys for Toys for Tots
Wright City, Mo (December 21, 2018) – Incredible things have been happening at Tiger Docks throughout this Christmas Season. Prior to the start of the season, Tiger teamed up with local marine, Gunnery Sergeant Josh Deneve of the Marine Corps Reserve, to collect for their Toys for Tots program. The mission was simple but sincere, to fill the Tiger Docks trailer with toys and bikes for local kids in need. The company strives to give when and where they can, and they wanted to be able to give a wonderful Christmas morning to as many local kids as possible.
Plans were underway, and very quickly, Tiger Docks went from being a drop-off location, to being a coordinator. They wanted to fill their trailer, but they also broadened their goal to include collecting at least 100 bikes. Owners, Nick and Chrissy Davis, assured Gunnery Sergeant Deneve, “If we don’t get 100 bikes donated, we will personally purchase enough bikes to deliver at least 100 to Toys for Tots by Christmas.”
Once the announcement was made, people were immediately arriving at Tiger Docks, ready to give. Tiger employees also drove around collecting toys to make it convenient for individuals and local businesses during the busy holiday season. Over the course of six weeks, toys and bikes flooded Tiger’s showroom. “Local businesses, friends, family, and our own employees were so happy to give, making it a truly emotional experience. The community really showed up for the kids this Christmas, and we couldn’t be happier with the people we are surrounded by both personally and professionally,” said Tiger CEO, Chrissy Davis.
As coordination efforts began drawing to a close, it became overwhelmingly obvious that Tiger was going to need a bigger trailer to get all the toys and bikes delivered. Thankfully, a neighboring business, also located in the Gateway West Industrial Centre, which also does business with Tiger Docks, was ready to help out. Universal Galvanizing graciously offered the use of a trailer. In the end, the local dock company filled the semi-trailer, as well as a flat-bed work truck. They also crushed they’re goal of collecting 100 bikes, bringing a grand total of 196 bikes for 196 local kids to have on Christmas morning.
Tiger Docks offers their sincere gratitude to all those who donated with kindness and generosity to help give a wonderful Christmas to many local children.
